The DCEF 2013, aims to be a leading platform for Dioxide emissions, Carbon Abatement solutions, Alternate Energy, Energy Efficiency and new technologies in the whole GCC region. Featuring close to 100 regional and Qatar experts and 40 international experts, the DCEF 2013, will be organized under the patronage of HH Sheikha Moza Bin Nasser and under the directive of HE Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al- Sada- Minister of Energy & Industry and Mr. Faisal Al- Suwaidi- President of Research & Development at Qatar Foundation.

The Forum is intended to help identify companies and institutes with near- to- market low carbon technologies. It is anticipated to provide a significant contribution in realizing the environmental pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The core objectives are :

  • Review state of the art in energy and carbon management research, industrial application, and policy in the region and worldwide.
  • Discuss alternative energy portfolio for Qatar and other GCC countries.
  • Discuss current and emerging energy and greenhouse gas challenges in Qatar and in the Gulf region.
