SIDRA MEDICAL AND RESEARCH CENTER

On completion in 2012, the Sidra Medical and Research Center will be an ultra modern, all-digital academic medical centre, the first of its kind in the Middle East.

Its three essential missions are world-class clinical care with a focus on women’s health, medical education and bio-medical research. Part of a collaborative effort, Sidra will work closely with Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and Hamad Medical Corporation in raising the standard of health care throughout Qatar and providing valuable opportunities for research and learning.

Qatar Foundation set up a US$7.9billion endowment fund to finance Sidra, the largest endowment of a medical centre anywhere in the world.
